Bagged powders are a common commodity widely used in food, pharmaceuticals, chemicals, and agriculture. To ensure safety and effectiveness during use, the following precautions must be strictly observed:

1. Storage Conditions
Bagged powders are generally sensitive to their storage environment and should be stored in a dry, cool, and well-ventilated place, avoiding direct sunlight and high temperature and humidity. Some powders (such as pharmaceuticals or food additives) may require light-proof, airtight storage to prevent moisture absorption, clumping, or deterioration. Unopened packaging should be kept as intact as possible. Opened powders must be sealed to prevent moisture and used as soon as possible.

2. Pre-Use Inspection
Before use, check the packaging for damage, leaks, or contamination. If clumping, discoloration, or an unusual odor is found, the powder may have deteriorated and should not be used. For pharmaceutical or food powders, verify the production date and expiration date; expired products must not be used.

3. Hygiene and Safety During Handling

When handling powders, it is recommended to use dry, clean tools (such as a dedicated spoon or measuring cup) to avoid direct contact with hands and prevent contamination or cross-contamination. For chemical or pesticide powders, wear gloves and a mask during handling to avoid inhaling dust or skin contact. If necessary, handle the powder in a well-ventilated environment.

4. Correct Measurement and Mixing

Use strictly according to the dosage recommended in the instructions. Excessive or insufficient dosage may affect the effectiveness. When dissolving or mixing powders, use the specified solvent (such as water or other liquids) and stir thoroughly until completely dissolved to avoid clumping, which can affect the effectiveness.

5. Disposal

Unused powders should be disposed of properly and not discarded indiscriminately. Chemical or hazardous powders must be disposed of according to environmental regulations to avoid environmental pollution.

Following the above precautions will ensure the safe use of bagged powders, extend their shelf life, and reduce waste and health risks.
